Locs

This style is for those who have completely natural hair and want a more permanent look. The hair is either braided or backcombed to begin each loc. A tool can also be used to interlock each loc. Common tools are the NappyLocs (wwww.nappylocs.com) or SisterLocs (wwww.sisterlocks.com) tool. Once completed, the style will resemble the makings of dreadlocs or locs. Initially the hair should be washed at the most once a month, concentrating on the scalp and massaging gently to remove build up. The scalp can be cleansed in between washings with a mild astringent. Maintenance will include interlocking or palm rolling.

This style will not work with hair that has been chemically processed.
Prices start at $60.
